Welcome to In the Air with Barbara & Bruce, a landing place for our travels, adventures, recommendations and future itineraries.
We are newly minted retirees as of July 1, 2024. Bruce is 67, practiced law for thirty-five years and was ready to retire from his most recent gig as the head of Licensing and Discipline for the State of Rhode Island Department of Health. Barbara is an early retiree with over twenty-five years as an elementary school literacy coordinator and specialist. Our three grown children from Bruce’s prior marriage are out and about and making their own way in the world. The genesis of our new life has been really interesting and unexpected even to us and we’ll be sharing the details in these pages. Not like we’re making it up as we go but, well, yeah — we’re making it up as we go!
